Sunday (Jan 8) As of Friday (Jan 6) the county had plowed all the way to Yellow Pine and the road was in good shape. We received 2″ of new snow Saturday afternoon/evening. Locals streets are in good shape.
Update Sunday 6pm:
YP to Cascade “Two small trees cleared off the road and we noticed several trees recently down on top of the snow. Lots of deer. Road is really slushy. Two nice bull elk. One porcupine. A couple of otters. About a three hour trip.” – MA
Current Conditions: It has been above freezing and raining Sunday afternoon and evening in Yellow Pine. Where the rain hits hard surfaces on the ground, it freezes and its getting slick.
