Yellow Pine: The weather has been warmer than normal the past few days. It rained all day Tuesday, and a trace of snow by Wednesday morning. Snow on the ground here averages 4.5″, bare ground under trees in the forest. Local streets are snow/ice covered and icy slick in many places (studs helpful.) Click for Local Forecast.
Warm Lake Highway: (Jan 10) – this morning the highway between Cascade and Big Creek summit was pure ice.

South Fork Road: (Jan 10) slick on the shady corners.
Tea Pot Weather Station (5175′)
EFSF Road: (Jan 10) road was much better this morning, light dusting of snow provided traction on the ice.
Johnson Creek Road: Upper end closed at Landmark to wheeled vehicles for the winter.
The elevation at Landmark is 6,630 feet
Lower Johnson Creek Road: (last report Jan 3) road is icy and slick in places. The county last plowed the road out to Wapiti Meadow in late December.

Lick Creek: Closed for winter to wheeled vehicles.

Stibnite to Thunder Mountain: Closed at Stibnite with snow. Truck reported to be stuck for the winter on the other side of Monumental.

Big Creek to Elk Summit to Warrens Road: Closed.
