Updated Road Report April 11

Note: Spring road conditions change quickly. It is “Rock Migration” season! Be prepared for icy roads, snow at high elevations and rocks/trees falling in the road. Please share road reports.

Yellow Pine: We had quite a storm last night, hard rain and then an inch of snow fell (0.83″ of water in 24 hours.) Local streets were pretty much bare by lunch time, pot holes full of water. Click for Local Forecast.

Warm Lake Highway: (Apr 11) mail truck driver (Robert) says the highway is in “good shape”, a little snow on the road on the west side of the summit.
Big Creek Summit SNOTEL station 6580′

South Fork Road: (April 11) mail truck driver said he had to stop 5 times to move rocks out of the road, lots of smaller rocks came down.
Tea Pot Weather Station 5175′

EFSF Road: (Apr 11) mail truck driver said someone had gone out and cleared the bigger rocks off the EFSF road. The worst part is between the Eiguren Ranch and Yellow Pine (rough.)

*Updated: Lower Johnson Creek Road: (Apr 11) Ziva reports she supervised the removal of a large boulder that was nearly blocking the road out by the dump. Then they went and cleared a slide that was nearly blocking the road out by the airstrip. 
Upper Johnson Creek Road: Closed at Landmark for winter to full sized vehicles.
The elevation at Landmark is 6,630 feet
