Sept 13 Weather:

At 930am it was 44 degrees, very thick smoke, low visibility and hazardous air quality. Very thick smoke at 1230pm, sun is not casting any shadows, very limited visibility and very hazardous air quality. At 315pm it was 77 degrees, slightly less smoke (can barely see the outline of Golden Gate) but still hazardous air quality. At 630pm it was 76 degrees, thinner smoke – can see the ridges (and smoke plume) – but air quality is still crappy. At 8pm it was 61 degrees, moderate haze of smoke in the air, cloud of smoke east of Golden Gate ridge and calm. At 11pm too smoky to see stars.

Sept 14 Weather:

At 930am it was 46 degrees, very smoky – can barely see the ridges, and bad AQ. Smoky haze at noon. At 345pm it was 86 degrees and smoky, bad air quality, satellite map shows there may be some clouds over us? At 630pm it was 79 degrees, smoky haze and poor air quality, looks like some real clouds above the smoke? Eastern horizon dirty brown smudge from Buck Fire. At 8pm it was 65 degrees and thicker smoke, bad air quality. At 1130pm thicker smoke, no stars visible.

Sept 15 Weather:

At 930am it was 45 degrees, socked in down to the valley floor with smoke, very low visibility and very hazardous air quality. At 1pm it is still very smoky but can barely see the top of Golden Gate Hill. At 330pm it was 86 degrees, solid smoky sky above – can barely see the peaks and ridges, light breezes and bad air quality. At 630pm it was 76 degrees, solid smoke overhead, moderate haze of smoke down here, ridges are somewhat visible and bad air quality. At 8pm it was 63 degrees and smoke settling in, very poor air quality. Thicker smoke by midnight blotting out stars.

Sept 16 Weather:

At 930am it was 43 degrees, socked in with smoke, low visibility and hazardous air quality. Still socked in with smoke at 1pm. At 4pm it was 80 degrees, still socked in with smoke and very bad air quality. At 730pm it was 66 degrees, slightly less smoky (can see the ridges thru the haze) and bad air quality. Smoke obscuring the stars at 1130pm.

Sept 17 Weather:

At 930am it was 45 degrees, socked in with smoke, low visibility and hazardous air quality. At 1pm the smoke was thicker, visibility reduced to approx. 150 yards, very hazardous air quality. At 4pm it was 80 degrees, still socked in with thick smoke, low visibility. At 730pm it was 71 degrees and slight breeze, solid smoky sky, inversion had lifted enough to see ridges but very poor air quality. Thinner smoke before midnight, a few stars to the north and Mars was ruby red above the eastern hills. Smoke settled in during the night.

Sept 18 Weather:

At 930am it was 44 degrees, socked in w/smoke, visibility less then 1/4 mile, very hazardous air quality, possible clouds above the smoke. At 1250pm it was 55 degrees, thick smoke, low visibility and light chilly breeze. At 4pm it was 57 degrees, still socked in with smoke, very hazardous air quality and apparently it is cloudy above the smoke. At 7pm it was 58 degrees and steady rain falling (not sure when it started) with light breeze, inversion lifted and hills visible. At 745pm it was 54 degrees, steady rain and almost calm. Not raining at 845pm (not sure when it stopped.) It may have rained again between 9-930pm? (Smelled like wet campfire and calm.) Not raining at 1130pm. Thick smoke settling in after midnight. Not raining at 1am and smoky. No rain during the night.

Sept 19 Weather:

At 930am it was 49 degrees, can see the sky! Partly clear / mostly cloudy and haze of smoke, poor air quality. Mostly cloudy and light breezes at 1pm. Thunder and starting to rain at 205pm, didn’t last long, lots of strikes in the area for the next hour. Next rain shower started at 319pm. At 410pm it was 49 degrees, overcast and steady light rain. Power off/on 415pm. Rain stopped at 420pm. More rain from around 445pm to 545pm, then a bit of clearing and sun peeking thru. At 730pm it was 48 degrees and partly cloudy. At 11pm it looked cloudy and light haze.
